This is just a selection from the exceptional collection of highly documented, vintage gas-powered race cars currently for sale at Nicholas Brawer Gallery.

A stunning M&E Models Wasp tether car. This original and complete example is modeled after the famed Bugatti Type 35 Grand Prix racer, the most successful of the Bugatti racing models from the heyday of the gentleman racers of the 1920s and 30s. It is powered by the proper 2 cc E.D. Mk II ‘Penny Slot’ diesel engine with centrifugal clutch and its two-piece plated steel wheels are shod with the proper Dunlop Fort tires. The car is finished in the rarely seen, but correct, black livery. The Wasp is extremely rare and this is simply the finest example known. English, 1948. Length: 14.5 in.
